Urabandai Ski Resort: Perfect for your child’s ski debut
Ideal for ski debuts! Equipped with a warm indoor practice area
Even for children who quickly say, “It’s so cold!” as soon as they start playing in the snow, there’s no need to worry! An indoor practice area is available for free, where they can practice comfortably in a heated room. Learn how to put on skis or snowboards and safe ways to fall indoors before heading outside to enjoy the slopes! A free Kids’ Room is available. For children ages 1-6, adult supervision required.
Access: Transfer at Koriyama Station (Tohoku Shinkansen) to the JR Ban-etsu West Line and get off at Inawashiro Station. Take a local bus bound for Urabandai Kogen for about 40 minutes and get off at the Urabandai Lake Resort bus stop. Then, board a free shuttle bus to Urabandai Ski Resort, which takes about 15 minutes. By car, it takes about 30 minutes from the Inawashiro Bandaikogen Interchange (Ban-etsu Expressway).
