The 32nd All Japan Ski Championships Snowboard Big Air was held at Hoshino Resorts Nekoma Mountain on February 26, 2026.

This tournament gathers Japan’s top athletes to compete in snowboarding skills by launching off a kicker (jump ramp). With Japanese riders winning both the men’s and women’s divisions at a recent international competition held in Italy, Japan boasts a world-class level in this discipline.

Starting this year, as a tournament to determine the true champion of Japan, many top athletes who are active in international competitions also participated. On the previous day, February 25, a press conference was held featuring eight Olympic representatives.

To host a competition on a jump ramp equivalent in scale to international events, Hoshino Resorts Nekoma Mountain served as the venue. The resort has hosted numerous international competitions like the NIPPON OPEN and possesses world-class snow park construction expertise, including the ability to build massive kickers with flight distances exceeding 20 meters.

Taking 3rd place in the women’s division was Kiara Morii, who previously won the FIS ALTS BANDAI BIG AIR by Hoshino Resorts held on this very same kicker.

Momo Suzuki, who has also competed in the Olympics, secured 2nd place by successfully landing two 3-rotation jumps: an FS 1080 and a BS 1080.

Surpassing Suzuki to take the crown was Yura Murase, the younger sister of Olympic gold medalist Kokomo Murase. She executed two different 3-rotation directions with a high level of perfection, including a CAB 1080 from a highly difficult CAB switch stance, and a BS 1080, to claim victory.

In the men’s division, Olympic silver medalist Ryoma Kimata secured 3rd place.

Coming in 2nd was gold medalist Kira Kimura. Despite intentionally holding back his favorite rotation directions, backside and switch backside, he beautifully landed two massive 5-rotation tricks: an FS 1800 and a CAB 1800.

Kira Kimura’s younger brother, Yuto Kimura, claimed the championship. Yuto also successfully landed two 5-rotation tricks in the same directions as his older brother, the FS 1800 and CAB 1800. He surpassed his brother’s score by executing highly difficult and stylish grabs: the “Bloody Dracula” and a tail grab.
